Disconnect from the internet before beginning the installation to prevent Windows from automatically installing incorrect "official" drivers.

The hardware interface requires specific drivers supplied with the product to communicate with your PC.

For modern systems (Windows 7/10), you may need to specifically select the "ftdibus" driver from the driver package if the manual method fails. 3. Connecting to the Vehicle

When Windows prompts you that "New Hardware" has been found, do not let it search automatically. Choose the Advanced Option or "Browse my computer for driver software".

Navigate to the folder where your VAG Tacho 5.0 software is stored and select the "Drivers" folder.

VAG Tacho 5.0 is primarily designed for Windows-based systems. While originally built for Windows XP, it is compatible with newer versions like Windows 7, 8, and 10. Windows XP (recommended), 7, 8, or 10.

Plug the VAG Tacho 5.0 USB device into a free USB port on your computer.

Installing VAG Tacho 5.0 allows you to perform critical vehicle diagnostic tasks, such as reading PIN codes for immobilizers, programming new keys, and changing mileage on Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, and Skoda dashboards.
